TAIL LIGHT MOD
 

I have a question on this tail light mod that is posted in the KB. Is it for an extra tail light, extra brake light, or both?
I did this a while back and the bulb that goes in there has two filiments. I connected the wire to the tail light but it lights up the brighter filiment on the new additional bulb. looking at the metal strips that go from the bulbs to the harness wires it looks like that bulb can serve as a brake light and a tail light but not sure if the brake light channel is actually connected to the wire that goes into the harness. Can anybody confirm that its connected and that i can use that bulb as a tail light and a brake light?

actually after reading my own post its sounds like i have the stock tail light channel connected to the new brake light channel. I guess i need to know if the other channel going to the new bulb would work as a tail light.

any ideas?
