Trunk Light Mod
 

ok so i got bored and was cleaning my trunk and realized that my trunk light was dim and crappy so i modded it. it took 12 leds and 4 40 ohm metalic oxide resistors all of the resistors are hooked up in series and the leds are hooked up in parallell ill lets the pics show you guys but if you want more info about doing this mod please feel free to pm me ill be more then happy to help you (BTW you do notice a big difference at night), also i bought all the parts at the 99cents store took apart an led lamp got 12 leds a diod, transformer, a good switch and some other crap

bavauto sells led pods that you can use in your trunk and dome light, but they are about $20 each. how much did your mod cost?

it cost about 5$ plus the time i spent about 2 hours, But had to make 2 because one of them shorted out

at the 99 cents store in socal i got all the parts from there the leds the boards everything but all you need are resistors 2-3 bucks from radioshack

you can get it on Bavauto? under what category can you find it at? because i looked and couldnt find that light for the trunk.

and nice mod bob. we'll have to see how much more it lights up the trunk because i want more lighing in there. its too dark when you're looking for something at night.

there's always the ron stygar dual trunk light mod (basically install an additional trunk light on the other side. i'll see if i can find the link ...
