Greetings SoCal Bros!

I am on a family trip down here in San Diego and am looking for a local BMWs parts place. I know I can find a dealership, but hoping to find a place where I can pick up an OEM Thermostat for my M62TU. (E39 540it)

I had overheating issues only on climbing the Grapevine from Sacramento. It stayed cool on either side of the Grapevine. Only climbing up to the summit did I have issues. I suspect I have a partially open Thermostat. Its one of the electrically controlled ones. $$$

I am by San Diego State if anyone knows of a store nearby.

Thanks Matt! All was good zipping around town today. I think it was the southward climb on the Grapevine grade combined with 100+ temps, plus a full car and a partially open Thermostat.

I'll take it easier on the return trip over the more gradual climb from L.A. to Bakersfield. I'll swap out the Thermostat upon return to Sacramento.
