1997 ti had an accident... Our ti met with slippery conditions and a concrete barrier the other day. It looks like a loss, but we will decide soon. If we don't repair it we will probably keep it to keep some parts, then selling the rest off. I will post if we are going to part it out. Very sad, it was a kick A$$ little car. Fortunately, my son, who was driving, has no injury, except his sweet ti will probably not return to the street. 2020 strikes in the last week. |
Sucks but it’s just a car. Glad no one was hurt! |
Thanks! I agree 100%, so we are on the hunt once again.... |
I have been seeing decent ones popping up. You should be ready for spring if you keep at it. |
Sad to hear. I had one of these incidents myself in 2019, when my S52 '98 Cali top was totaled. I ended up transplanting the S52 powertrain into the '96 that I'm driving now. Glad that your son is well, and hope you're back in a ti, soon! |
Wow I’m glad your son is ok. This made me think of how I lost my first BMW, a very used 325ix I had bought with summer money when I was in college. I absolutely loved that car. I was on winter break, hit a patch of oil from an accident in the snow, I slid 35mph straight down a grass hill into a concrete wall and totaled it. The was year 2001. Wasn’t exactly the best year either! I hope you track down another ti, we have to keep these things going! |
