Bill Caswell to race 318ti at WRC Mexico

I've been following Bill Caswell since WRC Mexico 2010 when he took a $500 E30 he built and beat professional rally cars costing almost half a million.

Well he just picked up a 318ti and is currently building it for WRC Mexico next month. Let's hope he can make the ti community proud!

He's an awesome guy, check him out and show your support! https://www.facebook.com/caswell318

Wish there was money to sponsor a 318ti.org decal on his car.

How much would it cost us Steven? Maybe we can raise the money.

For a decal? That's not a problem.
To help sponsor a car? That's a problem. :)

Figured I should post an update to this thread. Mr. Caswell wasn't able to make WRC Mexico due to a last minute EWS issue if I recall. He has since taken care of that, and is racing in the Empire State Performance Rally this weekend. Currently in the top 5 overall going into tomorrow! He's taken some front end damage but is still in the rally.

He posted this photo on Facebook:

Notice the 318ti.org sticker just below the side molding on the front fender?
We're rooting for you, Bill!

Go Bill!

Good to see this car (and Bill) made an event. I thought I read that the project had completely stalled and Bill was done with racing.

Looks like he had to withdraw from the rally on day 2 because of the damage. He posted that it will be easy to fix and I'm sure he'll have it back out soon!

Looks like he's still going.

I think those are videos from over the weekend that people are now getting around to uploading, the rally is over and he's listed as DNF on the results page http://www.nasarallysport.com/result...ly-overall.htm

Bummer. Hope he rebuilds.
