Need a new glass cover for headlight..
 

I've just noticed I picked up a stone chip in my headlight cover on my compact and when looking on eBay I've found that 90% of the headlights that come up are for the Standard E36 rather than for our cars..

That wouldn't be a problem but apparently the e36 headlamp doesn't fit the e36 compact and just wondered if it was more an issue to do with the connectors and the unit itself rather than the glass..

If it's just that then I could buy a cheap headlight and unclip the glass and throw away the rest of the unit but I wonder if anyone else has had the same issue before I go ahead and buy one.

e36 sedan is the same with compacts

so look and buy replacement lights for e36 sedan 4 door. they will fit our cars

Breaking a full car bud still got the headlights if your interested

Keep in mind there are 3 different manufacturers and they are not interchangable.
I think...Bosch, Hella and ZKW?

Done quite a few personally not a massive issue to swap a few things about ;)

Likewise, an E36 housing goes into an E36. The sub- parts, mix- and- match...

Just turn assemblies are different. So what do you need what side and what brand?
