Big Im(Com)Pact - OEM E36 323Ti

I did this once last year, but in the wrong section. With the anticipation that comes with spring being around the corner, I thought I would share some info & images of my Ti with the forum that appreciates them the most.

1998 BMW 323Ti Compact M Sport Package
Colour - Avusblau
Factory M52B25 - 2.5 ltr. I6
137k km.

Black/Antracite interior with partial leather (leather bolsters front and rear, cloth midsections, leather partition rear).
Factory M package steering wheel and shift knob.

Things we'd normally list as upgrades or "Euro this, Euro that" in N. America are here just factory spec. so only neat things worthy of mention are the individual black headliner, rear seat headrests, PDC (very useful in Europe), and the anthracite individual 323ti cluster that it was delivered with when new.

M50 manifold w/ kit.
SGS Custom tune (regarded BMW tuner in Germany)
Z3 3.0 rear exhaust section fitted to 328i Cats and dual piping from manifold.

^ Thanks to Stefan323ti for the info/recommendation, and in general for being a good mate and always willing to lend a helping hand.

AP adjustable coilovers (Coilover line from KW)
HD rear shockmounts with Z3 reinforcement plates.

Style 32 wheels - 17x8 front et20 / 17x9 rear et26
215/40R/17's

Zimmerman brakes front & rear.

OEM CD43 Headunit w/ OEM 6 CD changer
Harman Kardon Speakers

Sitting on the shelf waiting to be done:
Z3 SSK with busings and clutch stop. OEM ZHP M weighted short knob.
OEM Compact M Sport Package rear spoiler.
Dinan carbon fiber intake (enemy of the state/TÜV)

iPhone photos from last summer are all I've got on this laptop at the moment. Hopefully will get around to taking some better pictures this year. For the most part, the spring plans are all just general maintenence and refresh items... unless I find a smoking deal on an AA Supercharger kit or similar

Out and About for Summer 2013

Just thought I'd share a few photos I took last week now that the car is out in summer 2013 mode.

All the parts that I wrote were "sitting on the shelf waiting to be done" in my original post are now installed, including a nice suspension addition I came across... OEM X Brace

Cheers.

Is the arm rest in the center console stock? The more I drive my new to me 318ti, the more I wish there was an arm rest in it. Very nice car.

Thanks Fellas, appreciate the kind words. I was actually surprised that my post on BF.c (known here as the forum that hates the T.i. lol) blew up with love and this thread on the .org didn't seem to strike much of a cord lol.

Hi, yeah the armrest is stock and big plus in my opinion. Having had a few E36 328iS' and an M3, some with, most without, I can say that I definately prefer with.

So miss my style 32's but they weigh too frigging much.

MTRD3 09-03-2013 07:16 AM

^ Ya that's my one gripe with them as well, if only they were lightweight.. what a combination that would make lol. That being said, with the lip and lower offsets they were only produced for the 5 and 7 series.. so intended to be carrying some weight lol.

M-technik-3 09-04-2013 02:38 AM

Can still be light, of constructed via forged vs drop cast method. My K1's in 17x8 are 17 lbs each compared to style 32 which are 22+ depending on setup. Regardless your car looks very sharp.
