New Houston Ti Owner

Hey all, bought a basket case Ti while I'm in school to help perfect my manual transmission skills and potentially autocross when its running right. It's one of the early 96 builds without the ASC or SAP, lucky me, and blew up on the drive home a month ago! I've since bought a new Cylinder Head and gone through most of the top end. Currently waiting on an idle control valve and trying my hardest to bleed this coolant system. Water Wetter seemed to help but it started overheating again after the initial test drive. All that aside, I'm excited to be an owner of this funky bastard child of the brand. I've always been a fan of these random rare cars nobody knows exist.

Welcome! Story sounds familiar, but sounds like you have skills to make it better. Enjoy it when it gets more normal, they are fun cars.

Cheers!

Yes I'm learning to be an engine builder and this car ended up being an ideal opportunity for learning. I'll have fun playing with the adjustable cam gears to find different Lobe Separation Angle.
