Poor Cold Start - What should I do?

I have a 318 ti 1995.

Engine light is on.

Car doesn't start well when it is very cold outside. Sometimes the engine stalls after I start the car and I suddently stop at a Stop Sign.

What should I start doing to help prevent this?

Scan the computer for the fault. Might be the AFM.

or scan for faults using the 5 gas pedal push trick.
Search the forum for checking OBD1 faults. I think Pelican has a DIY for that.

check the rubber hose for the intake for any cracks or rips, my car had a similar problem and that was what was wrong
