passenger door not responding to auto locks. hey guys........my passenger door isnt respondin to the power doors locks, whats up with it? |
can you still open it with the key? sounds like the power lock actuator died on you |
yes i can still open it with the key. in fact when i lock/unlock that door, the other doors will respond accordingly. its just when i lock/unlock either the drivers door or the trunk/hatch door the passenger side doesnt respond. i kinda figured it was that part from the other posts i have read. how much is that part? anyone have any picts of where it goes n such? tanks |
Yes, your door lock actuator is bad - part is not too expensive; part #67111387726 - $60 at Pelicanparts.com Install is the hard part - http://hock.net/m-door-lock-actuator.php and/or http://good-times.webshots.com/album/557789582nyYUxv |
I have a similar problem but with the driver's door. It doesn't respond when i push the central locking button nor with the alarm. It would lock when I use the key or push it down and all the rest of the locks would activate with it. Is this the same issue? |
Yes Marv, it seems like it is the same issue... |
alright. well good thing i have the M3 door still. i'll steal it off of there. |
lucky! |
Hi all, In the car I just purchased, none of the power door locks are working properly. Any chance of getting a repost of the power door lock actuator install procedure? By this, I mean: turning key to lock/unlock driver door does not lock/unlock passenger door or trunk. Same holds true for pass door and trunk.. I can hear a mechanism engaging when a door (or the trunk) is locked/unlocked with the key, however nothing actually happens to the locks on either of the other doors/trunk. |
