The M42 picked up a rough idle hot and cold.

sits at 800 then drops to 400, then back to 800.

Throttle response is still good, and no problems while with gas pedal response.

I am thinking it might be the ICV? Sound Right?

Check all your hoses.
The IVC sounds about right too.
Try cleaning it.
Good luck finding out what it is.

Had the same problem, but that would happen when I was idling while parked or somtin.... It'd go up, down then back...

Mine's auto, and I know that yours is 5 speed, so that might not be your problem.
