1996 318TI //M Hey all me and my wife have decided to sell my beloved ti. We need to get an SUV, we tried to trade our dodge stratus even tried to sell it and it just seems I cant for some reason. So we figured we owe nothing on the TI and can sell it and use the money as a down payment on an SUV. I am very sad to sell my car but i have to keep a positive attitude about it. So here is the link to my add on Craigslist. PS. Once all this SUV drama is done I will be on the hunt to find a faster and better TI. My wish list Cali top s52 swap and a 5speed with the ///M sport http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/3218976950.html |
Bummer! GLWS |
Gone already? That was fast. |
Yeah, he sure did sell it quick. Sad to see it go tho. |
Yea it is gone already, sold in less than 12 hours from me posting. Now i am on to the AUDI world. But i will never a be a stranger to the org though |
What model audi? |
A4 with the sport package and a 1.8T nothing to special |
Very nice. I've always had a thing for Audi's. S-line A3's and 4's are cool rides. Join Audizine if you haven't already. |
Yea i was just browsing around the website and i like them alot better than any other audi forums |

OP if it's anywhere near 100k look into doing the timing belt if it hasn't been done. While you're at it replace the water pump with one that has a metal impeller. The factory plastic ones are known to get brittle and fail. The timing belts also tend to stretch out prematurely. Don't mean to be a debbie downer just ensuring you are aware of the biggest common issues of the 1.8t Good luck with the new car! Sent from my DROID Pro using Tapatalk |
OP went from a SUV to sedan in less than 4 days. I'd bet the SUV was never a consideration. |
OP had considered an SUV for weeks prior to the start of this thread. Don't know what his consideration between a an SUV and a sedan has to do with anything. Mods I believe this thread can be closed since the car has been sold. |
the bank was the one that changed the plans of getting an SUV. They gave us a limit of 2005 and newer 85k miles or less and $12K or less Looked around alot on craigslist, autotrader, ebay and really came up with nothing that fit the bill and then i started looking for an all wheel drive sedan and i looked at a few junk XI's that fit the bill but was kinda up there in price. Then i discovered this Audi with 85k miles, full service records and a recent timing belt and water pump and fuel pump replacement for 8500. Went and looked at it loved it and it was in really good condition. Then i took it over to the Audi dealer and had them do an inspection on it and it check out with a clean bill of health. Purchased it for 7200 and with taxes and everything it came out to 7900 much better deal. So no suv for now but did get one thing that was important all wheel drive. |
