Auto Transmission issue
 

Hey guys sorry if im in the wrong spot but I have a 96 ti and we have been working on it replacing filtees and lines and its running better but the transmission is not wanting to drop to 1st when you come to a complete stop and it also wont engage passing gear the car has around 160000 miles I just bought about a month ago and idk any history on it aside from that it had a cooling overhaul. Any thoughts as to what may be the issue?

Mine had a leak at the Transmission Cooler where it connects to the Transmission Cooling Lines. Once the Transmission gets low on fluid the 1st gear behavior you describe begins and only gets worse. I had to replace the Cooler and the Lines to stop the leaking.
