BMW Dakar Compact 318ti for Sale

1 Attachment(s)
Attachment 14577For sale is our rare BMW individual Dakar yellow 318ti compact.
As you can see from the pictures this car is in stunning condition.
We have loved this car for a few years now and it's time to pass it on to a new home, we will be sad to see it go, it has never let us down, infact the only thing that needed doing was the battery replaced earlier this year! The engine has only covered 81k which for a Bmw is nothing, it runs extremely well and doesn't miss a beat.
It's been used daily since we have owned it and been well maintained.
The electric windows work fine
It currently has a pink CD player in but will come with the original Bmw stereo also.
With it being the Dakar it has the rare black and yellow leather steering wheel.
The seats are all leather and in excellent condition.
It has 5 months Tax and 4 months mot. It always passed as long as we have owned it as we have looked after it.
Currently it has a private plate which will not be included in the sale.
Come and have a look it will not disappoint!
After around £1700, but its abuyers market our there......
The car is located in Cheshire UK

i want that one!

I've always loved yellow. Had a yellow Ducati, Honda Superhawk. Anyone know how much it would cost to import?

Not so much a question on how much to import, but how much to federalize.

Do you really want a RHD car?

anyone in US have a dakar yellow TI?

Yes I guess I meant federalize, not simply import. Headlights are readily available and ?maybe a reflash? I cannot think much else it would need. Seems like the bumpers are the same. ( maybe bumper internals) I assume it would have airbags, same as US? I assume despite mods, there is still a hefty fee for the inspection?

I suppose lights, instrument cluster.
Getting the VIN entered into the system.
Do you think you can get used to driving a RHD vehicle on the wrong side of the road?

A little googling...

Driving a RHD car is not as difficult as it would seem. Getting the feel for being on the opposite side of the car on the right side of the road came pretty easy for me in the few times I've driven a RHD car. It was learning to shift with the left hand that took a little extra time to get down. That, and if you're the type that frequents drive-through businesses, that can be a challenge.

2 lane country roads are a nightmare to pass on, unless you have a passenger to navigate and spot for you.

i spent many years servicing and driving a fleet of nissan skylines and always was in one it seemed. it was a hazard on the road b/c other drivers would do stupid things to get close to it. i always had one in the driveway b/c the owner of the cars insisted i drive them and advertise the fact that they were for sale. it was great PR for my shop too so i of course obliged. they were grey market cars from NZ..

the actual driving RHD was an easy adjustment, and for the most part on open roads the visibility was actually better than in LHD..less blind spots..etc

Not fun, I used to drive a LHD while I was in Japan and they are RHD like UK.

Good luck with sale.
