E90 Compact?

Anyone heard anything about a E90 Compact? Wonder if they'll make it, or if the 1-series now covers the Compact's price/size territory?

I don't see any need for an E90 compact. The 1 will be BMW's entry level car.

I was under the impression that the E46 Compact is to be the last. Even if they build a new one, we won't get it.

I believe this to be the case!!!

On top of everything you all have said, I just read in Performance BMW that the 1 series is a hit everywhere it's been released.... so it has not just taken over the ti, it has dominated the market.

The ti did pretty well outside of the US too. We'll see how the 1 will do in the US. Right now the only buzz is from enthusiats but that might be because they are the only people I know who want the car for what it is, not just for the status.

It will interesting to see how they market the 1 series here. They're pushing the new 3 pretty hard, but I think that's partly to convince people that they really do like the way it looks ;)

I dont like the look of the new e90 3 series. It reminds me of a Honda accord. Yukkkkkk!!!!!. But if they push it down your throat it will eventually look ok.
I like the look of the 1 series. Hatches are always my favorite style. It reminds me of the Vdubb GTI. Hope if come with a bigger engine than a 1.8.

I think the 1 series is pretty sweet, especially if they make a 130i. :)

I agree it will be hard for them to sell it in the US market on the west coast. It's about the SUV and gas milage. If it is small compact and does not get good gas mileage it will not do well outside the market here. The X3 has been doing well, along with the 325, 330's series. I had a note on my car, asking where can I get a 318tiA sport coupe like mine. It would have helpped if they left contact information. (eyesroll) Outie!

There will be no more Compact, the 1 Series covers that place on the market.

They will, it is already presented to the media (at least here in Europe). 258 BHP on the rear wheels :2gun:

Awesome :) I thought I heard that somewhere. Wonder how much cheaper it will be than the 330i?

I just want to know if they're still going to make the M2 and bring it to the U.S.?
