Suggested Waxes and Polish...

No posts on this! oh my...

Anyway i went to a car show some 10 years ago and saw a guy demonstrating a WATER BASED POLISH yes water based! At that time it was £25 a bottle and i didnt even have a car so didnt buy it...
He has now released it! It is possibly the best finish i have ever seen!
He demonstrated it with an old red bonnet covered in scratches and faded to hell. After washing the bonnet he polished it (with the bonnet still damp) and as if by magic all the little scratches just vanished! By the end of the day (and a few polishes later) the bonnet could have passed as new!

I have just ordered some through my brother at our local motor factors (kevin coopers MFC) and with my discount it cost me £7.38 which i think is well worth it.I will update this post once i have received and used my polish :-D

I have always used Auto Glym and Myrr products and rated them well but for the last decade have gone on and on about a water based polish i saw at a car show and no-one believed me, now i have proof!

See it here!

Sounds to me more like an abrasive compound with some carnauba in it.

I prefer to keep waxes and abrasives seperate so I can control the rate of paint abrasion.

For wax, I think the best compromise out there is the One Grand Blitz Wax.

For a glaze I use the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze.

I will start with compounds if I have to, but VERY rarely.

Clay bar with One Grand Show-Off or with another detail spray if needed, maybe once a year at most.

I tried the Meguiars NXT 2.0...very easy to apply and remove and leaves the best shine I've witnessed for a consumer grade wax.

I just use Meguiars Gold Class. Easy to go on, lasts for a good while, nice shine for the cost. If you're looking to get top quality stuff, look for stuff made by Einszett
