i think that's the one that fits in the brake duct

DustenT 01-12-2007 01:08 AM

Yep, that goes in the drive side brake duct and feed the temp display on the OBC. Without the sensor plugged in, or if it's broken the display shows -40.

and if your looking for one. I got one for sale for 10 bucks. Plus connector and some wiring.

How did you end up with an extra one?

Funny, I did look in my duct and the one I had didn't look like that. It had a cap on it that fitted into the duct.

Well i've noticed mine in the drivers side duct and it's yellow,i know there is another plug in the other duct, not sure what it is.

If I don't have OBC in my car, would I have that temp sensor? I only noticed a sensor in the passenger side duct.

Passenger side is for the engine computer. Driver's side is for the OBC.

That's the one on the passenger side. You don't have OBC, so you don't have the sensor.

Is this item #2 in the link?

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...94&hg=62&fg=05

Says it's a core item, can't be bought seperately? Not sure the one on Ebay is even for our cars. I have an OEM wiring kit for the OBC, should it come with the sensor?
