It was being built for a 2.5L S14 not sure what happened but seller is selling a large number of rare parts on that site.

Seems like an odd motor to use.
I'd think you'd want to use something a little cheaper in cost.

Guy probably had an old 92 320i DTM car which had a had a 2.0L S14 or something else like a hill climb car.

S14 can be built to rev till 8.5K rpm with right cams.
