19's on the ti?

Please don't crush my hopes but..can anyone identify these rims and if they will fit? http://images.craigslist.org/1381401...8df0cf160d.jpg

My car is completely stock suspension wise...

But the story is...I found this super old ad on craigslist for these rims and decided to call for the hell of it, ended up he still has them and wants 500 obo..
so easily could get them for 400. Let me know what you guys think.

Those rims look so badass while in motion. I really think it would take a few modifications to actually get those things for fit tho. Not too sure man but i hope someone tells you different cuz i want to see those on a ti.

they look like 2007-8 550i wheels...

roadrash 12-18-2008 12:33 AM

If they're BMW wheels, browse around on this site and you should find them:
http://www.bmwwheels.com/
That should tell you the offset, etc. and those numbers will be very important for determining if the wheels can be made to fit on your car.

That being said, 19" wheels will make a noticeable difference in the way your car handles. And not in a good way. But, that's your choice. :-)

I was attempting to do some spacer measurements on the e90 with the wheels I had mounted on the 'ti. Meanwhile, I thought.. Hmmm, maybe I'll see what the style 162s will look like on the 'ti. They are 18x8 with 225/40/18 up front, and 18x8.5 with 255/35/18 in the back.

I REALLY like it! what do you guys think?

if they are from a 3-series they should fit, and the size will fit fine, you can fit 20"s on a ti

i thought the biggest were 18 inch without any mods.. i could be wrong, i guess it depends on the amount of rubber on the tires.. haha..

19's will make your car feel sluggish, fuel economy will suffer and your brake rotors will look tiny. Those wheels look cool as hell though, 400 seems like a pretty good deal.

bobbob1015 12-19-2008 11:45 PM

sweet thanks for the input guys

the thing is I have 17" chromies i run during the summer but the tires are shot and the rims kinda go against the sporty look. The 17's weigh a ton any way so its like w/e. I think I'll buy them any way and just sell them on ebay if things don't work out.

good lord

those rims will look unbelievably better than those "ballin'" rims you have on there now

bobbob1015 12-20-2008 01:47 AM

hey! They came free with the car haha

zoner 12-20-2008 02:41 AM

I'm running 18's from an '02 M3 and have issues with rubbing in the rear. I think the rim width and offset are more important as to whether or not they will fit than the actual diameter is. The rears on mine are 9" wide, I think 8's would be a little better...

roadrash 12-20-2008 05:56 AM

Heck, the chrome wheels I have for sale (see sig) are better looking than the ones on your car now. :icon_poke Let me know if you're still looking for wheels in mid-February, I might be in NY and if so, I could deliver mine to ya.

Has anyone figured out the weight of the wheels that were originally asked about???
