Tail Light Compatibility I did a search and nobody seemed to cover this, and as our Compacts are a strange sort of beast I figured I'd post this out here. My old taillights are just that, old. I wanted to get possibly a new style like the all red ones or red/white, just anything to delete the amber and I'd prefer not just filming over them (however I did consider this). So, my knowledge states that our front end is a Sedan, and the rear is a Compact, nothing else. Are coupe or sedan taillights compatible or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and film mine? Thanks in advance all! |
Ti tail lights are Ti specific. Nothing else is compatible. You can get Euro Ti tails or nightshade em. There are aftermarket tails available...LED and garbage roundies. Personally I like the US factory tails just as they are. |

I'll have to see what the Euro tails look like, and see some nightshade end results. |
I'm quite fond of the Euro tail lights, really cleans up the look in my opinion. Turner has them for a decent price http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-6-...light-set.aspx |

Thanks for the photo KillBilly! |
Pelican sells them here for about $155/pair. |
Pair of gen BMW with the interior light £59 pounds. Not sure the pattern parts from pelican have the interior light. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E36-3-...item3f1b4caac7 |
The tail lights on Pelican are the exterior lenses only. The ebay ones appear to have both the exterior lens and interior trim panel (US spec. cars have the same interior light). I've actually tried to order from that same seller in the past and they would not ship to the US. You might want to verify if they will ship these to the states before you purchase. |

I like the look of the euro style that's all clear up top, that may be my choice but it's going to have to wait till spring at this point, I've blown my budget for 2012, lol. |
