CA - 1995 318 ti w DASC Charger -SOLD

SOLD - SOLD - SOLD
With so much sadness I have decided to part out my beloved 1995 318ti after a moron t-boned my son. He was texting while driving and hit my ti's passenger side. I had started parting it out and I am glad some of the sold parts went to another fellow enthusiast like myself (BlackBMWs). The car is mechanically good, there is no damage to the engine, suspension, transmission, differential, front and rear suspension. The hit damaged the frame of the car and that is why I have decided to part it out.

The engine is a fully rebuilt engine with less than 18k miles. Drove it for 10k miles to break it in and install the DASC. DASC has less than 8k miles. The set up runs flawless., BlackBMWs saw the car running while we were parting it out. I have paperwork for the engine rebuild.

The car went from this:

to this:

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...psgiqi213x.jpg

The car was in superb conditions and the same applies to the parts the car has. I have changed pretty much everything you can imagine.

This is your chance to get the parts you need and or this great engine+DASC setup.

This is what is left so far:

If you don't see it here just PM and I will let you know if I still have it and I will try to post prices later on today.

What camber plates are those?

Mendi3 06-29-2014 09:29 PM

CATuned coilovers with less then 500 miles on them. They come with adjustable camber plates.

I was lucky enough to meet Diego and David yesterday. Sad to see such a nice TI go down. I managed a few parts.

Don't know if it's sold yet, but there is a M42 with a DASC on it recently rebuilt on it. I have a video I will post later. I suspect it worked very well based on the fine rubber particles I found all over the rear bumper cover.

There is small case 3.45 LSC in the rear.

I have Dibs on the suspension if the current deal falls through.

I smiled as their house was easy to find. I counted 4 E30's, 2 E46's (One an M3) and a sadly crushed TI.

Great folks to deal with, long time Bimmerheads and their whole family drives them. One thing I noticed about how Diego and David built this car was a great attention to detail. All the right fasteners, every working surface clean in an immaculate garage. You'll be lucky if you meet them in person. I'll likely head back with my van again as I left a 7mm socket there.

Rich

It was great meeting you Rich. We are glad you are going to enjoy our parts. We got you cover on the tools. We will find them and ship them to you.

Nah, don't worry, we will see each other soon enough. I have spares. :) It was my good fortune to meet you guys! Thanks again!

Cheers!

Rich

BTW, folks, this M42 was recently rebuilt. Doing the quick math, the price I know Diego will set up for a local pickup is an insane deal considering DASC alone are going for a min $2500 and this and the motor are so clean and sounds smooth. If you are thinking M42 rebuild and DASC, consider yourself saving about $1500+ on this combination.

I had the advantage of meeting them and seeing most of their cars. All clean and in shape. I'd encourage that if you are thinking about this setup in your car, this is already pre configured and just being broken in.

I hope someone who can appreciate this setup gets it. If for a M44, I'd be all over it.

Tempting... I have a '95 sedan this would drop right into.

AnuketTi 06-30-2014 04:20 AM

Hi There -

Sorry to hear about your car - Rich told me about. I would like to get in line for the suspension as well.

I would be curious about that engine set up. Rich helped tempt me on it... LOL!

If possible, do you still have the side repeaters on the fenders? I would be interested in those as well if you have them as well as that rear seat bench (lower portion).

Cheers,

Michael

BlackBMWs 06-30-2014 04:55 AM

Jerry or Michael, if either of you decide to get this, I'll drive down to Tracy and help get it uninstalled. I know Diego will drop the price if we pull it. Diego has a lift already. Most of the front is already off, so, we can drop the subframe, I'll remove MY suspension pieces,, and we load the motor and DASC in your vehicle.

If neither of you guys want the tranny, I'll claim the flywheel, unless you all want to offer Diego for it. I have the same lightened M20 flywheel in my 318ic and it makes a noticeable difference over the dual mass one.

Diego, once its removed, we can remove anything else of value then cut it up and call the metal recycler guys to pick it up.

Cheers guys!

318ti Engine and Dalton Atlanta Supercharger

I'm interested in the engine plus the DASC supercharger. Please give me a price on the engine and DASC or a price for the car as it sits.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Michael,

As far as the suspension, Rich has first dibs on it. I do have the repeaters, they are clear and I do have the rear bench. I would have to sell it complete. It is in immaculate condition. Black leather.

Jerry or Michael, I mentioned to Rich that if you guys come and take out the engine, I will let go the engine with the Supercharger for $3,500.

Let me know as soon as you can as I have a few other people interested.

Rich, sounds like a plan.

Diego, Nice forum discount! I appreciate the break for forum members, I know it's a steal. Thanks for doing that. Can you post a few more engine photos, including underside please? It wouldn't hurt to post a few E30 teaser pics as well.

yeah diego and david are very cool!!! :)

i'll be all over that engine and SC if it was an m44. still tempting though!

BlackBMWs 06-30-2014 07:24 AM

Just noticed, do you still have the top covers for the coilovers?

Take lotsa pics of your Downing install so folks know where you had stuff positioned. Easier for the M42 than the M44 for sure.

The E30's look great!

Yeah, this will go good in a 318 Coupe or Sedan, but I'd like to see it in a TI again. (or Jerry's sedan)

PM a price on the rear seat and the repeaters when you get a chance.

This pains me to say this, but I will back out on this engine set up - AARRGGHHH!!!!!:frown:

I made a personal and financial commitment to some other things and I have to stay focused on that. I am sure I will regret this down the line though... :frown:

I understand., as I mentioned to Rich, I would like this great set up to stay within the 318ti community. And yes, it is totally CA smogged legal. I smogged it I believe in November 2013 and past with flying colors.

Absolutely! You have priority over other inquires I have received from non-forum members. Mine is the SuperSprint cat back exhaust. It has the middle section and the rear muffler box. All this is bolt on.

Michael, he has a Supersprint. You can get it from the exhaust manifold back to include the cat.

If you want something a little more spirited, I think E36-TI has a Stromung. a little (lot) louder but some folks like that. If I have a minute this week, I will throw a Stromung I have in the garage on my 97 to give a listen personally so I can speak to it from personal experience.

I have a Supersprint on the 98 and to me it seems as quiet as the stock muffler maybe a little more tone at rev. Whichever will work best with my DASC on the 98 will stay on.

Both of them look great as well.

Have you had yours above 4000rpm yet? If not, perhaps the stock one will be just fine. JK, you are the man...

PM me a price for the whole thing, I actually just need the Cat section with the cat, but willing to consider the whole thing to get it off your hands.

Rich - I have had the car AT 4000 RPM, not over that yet though.. LOL!

I actually need the cat for my car.... idiot prior owner thought it was the heat shield rattling. It's actually the cat. It was also a piss poor job on the welding done to the A/M cat that is in there so might as well change the entire system.

Hope to hear back from Diego on his exhaust. I will be curious to hear just how loud a Stromung is when you install it.

I think I need to raid your garage one of these days. You have way more toys than my toy store!

Michael, it has a CA CARB sticker on it. They are California legal. It would probably dust your AC Schnitzer 5 at the end of the day. Lighter, better power to weight ratio.

Put the DASC on, we get you a bucket seat like James, a telephone book or two, a few more tweaks and then you can chase James at Sonoma Raceway trying to get his allegedly illegal race taillights.

Too bad you couldn't have driven David's (Diego) car when it was in shape. That would have so closed the deal. you'd be breaking financial commitments somewhere... Ask James if you can take a spin in his 95. It will be closer to that, although, his is a sleeper beast.

Welcome to TI's again my brother...

I saw your garage. You have more toys and they are all bigger than mine. It would be cool if ours were side by side. Then, I may be tempted again to go look for a Black 2003 E39 540i/6 and look for all the Dinan parts hiding in your garage. :evil_lau:

Lucky for me, I live safely, far, far away...

Rich, you are so right. Once you ride on one of these, it is game over. Also the fact that this setup in on a fresh engine makes a world of difference.

zoner 07-01-2014 05:12 AM

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to back out as well- I have a motorcycle project in front of the 318i sedan and quite honestly, I may have to cut loose with the sedan soon as I just need to clear some room and pare down, not buy more stuff. It looks like a sweet setup- you should have no problem getting rid of it and I'm definitely bummed I won't be taking it home.

I understand. Yes, it is just a matter of time. It is a super nice setup. At this point I am going to post it under other forums as well as CL.
