Considering this is a +10 year old thread, I'd say a lot of people moved up a bracket. :)

Yeah, I was just noticing that. The italics of the age range tells me that I'm listed in the previous range now. So, basically this poll isn't accurate at all and it would require either creating a new one, or using birthdates in some way. Perhaps it's time for a new poll for "what year were you born?"

Yep. I'm in that last demographic group, too. Holler, bmwjen, if you need anything. I'm in Houston area quite a bit. Have two daughters there.
I got a ti back on the road last summer after the PO hadn't registered it in five years. So there aren't many places I haven't touched on a ti.

Thanks so much!! Tomorrow my ti goes into my husband's shop where he will be putting on 2 oxygen sensors, a thermostat, & both front & back brakes. It's a start. I'm taking it to his shop just because it'll be easier for him to work on while on a lift. He will just have to work on it in between paying customers. In the 2 weeks i've had my ti, she went into high temp twice......every other time I drive, she is fine. My husband didn't want to believe me, but to me that is a classic thermostat symptom. I ordered all of the parts from Advance. It's weird, because when I had my E34 I always got them from bavarian. Right now the registration is out of date, so i've gotta get the CEL out to get the inspection.

ahhhh, I just want to cry when I say the word forty.........sometimes I want to cry just thinking about it. My 16 year old son tells me that I don't look or act 40. How does a 40 year old act? lmao By profession, i'm an ER RN, other times I'm a firedancer, hula hooper, yoga enthusiast & I like to do a handstand in every new place that I go. I feel a whole lot more like 22. I'm so glad that i'm not alone in the upper age group

Glad to hear your ti is getting New stuff! I order from several places. Ed McKernan is great at BimmerBumCo. He drives a ti ClubSport himself. I have also used Pelican, BavAuto, FCPEuro, and EEuroParts. Many have various brands to choose from for the same part. Get the part number from realoem.com and go shopping!
I'm about to do some major work on my e30 cabrio. Engine seals, entire cooling system (24 years old), timing belt, ignition, etc. and just gave it a new B12 Pro Kit from Bilstein. Got things from several of the vendors above.
Hope you enjoy your ti as much as I enjoy mine!

Turned 49 last week, so nice not to be in the oldest catagory... until next year:frown:

35, in the past I've owned a 99' E38 sport and a 98' Z3 1.9L.
Currently it's a 01' E38 L, Schwartz 2 with Style 5's.
First venture into a TI and I'm liking what I'm seeing...

Just picked up a 99 318ti with a warped head. Immediately picked up a 328i parts car to do a m52 swap.

It is going to be my winter beater/drift mobile.

I'm in the 50+ group and that's all I'm saying :D

40s....

batmite 02-22-2017 09:45 AM

Late 40's. My Dad had 2 e9 2800cs while I was growing up, then I had 2 BMW 2002's one right after another... then the TI came along in 2008. Now I have 2 318ti's. Getting along, getting along. :)

Just turned 39 a few days ago, so I guess I'm still a 30's guy. ;) This is my first 318ti, but it won't be my last.
