Fernando, that second illustration is a piston rod. Those move up and down with the crankshaft. The oil pick up would have to be bolted to something stationary. I currently have my oil pan removed, so I went out to look, but the view is obstructed by the oil baffle. I'm in my PJ's right now and didn't want to get greasy(3:30am), I'll try to get a better look later. For now, here's a couple pics and just to clarify, we're talking about the two bolts I colored in red correct?

I think they are 16 mm bolts (just a guess). I was told they are one time use bolts....I should have taken a pic when I was at home. I'll snag one tonight.

Yeah it's definitely odd that realoem doesn't have them listed. I can't even find the part that the bracket attaches to. You could see the piston rod right next to it, it's attached to the crankshaft with torx bolts. If you look at the heads of the bolts, you should see either an 8 or a 10. This indicates whether the bolt is grade 8 or grade 10 steel. It's hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like a 10 on the lower bolt. Anyway, locally I have a place called "Industrial Bolt" where I go when I need miscelaneous or otherwise specialty hardware. Perhaps you have a similar place locally, or you could try your local auto parts store. For this application, I'd make certain that the specifications are identical ie; bolt grade, shank length, thread length etc. Of course, your other option would be to try the dealership. Sorry man, wish I could offer more help.

Yeah bro, I have no idea what's up with that. I'm going to take the bolt and bracket to the dealer, hopefully they will get the right bolt. Think it would be safe to reuse the bolts?

If the manual says it's a 1 time use bolt, I wouldn't reuse it. The poblem with those shanked bolts, if they're over torqued, they tend to stretch/twist right where the shank meets the threads. Take a really close look at those threads, if they look distorted in any way, I'd replace them.

Does anyone know the part number for this little plastic piece that clips in to the intake? Mine broke the other day and I cannot figure it out on realoem! This is on a m44 btw.

OK lets see if we can ID this part - see attached picture (your looking forward). Its a bracket attached to the transmission (M42 engine) forward of the cast transmission cross member. I can't find anything on realOEM but I may not be looking in the right place. You can see it has one rubber isolator mount on it (and a place for a second). What is this for?? Underbody panel maybe? But in that case it would seem you would want to mount to the cast cross member not the transmission which would vibrate etc.

Thanks Dave - did not think to look at the exhaust section as its off to the side of the bracket. Add those to a list for the next time I order some parts.
