akimoto intake

does anyone out there have an akimoto intake system on their TI....and if so is it a good buy or not worth my trouble..I've been debating this for a while now and I'm tired of it..haha

I have a Ractive which is basically the same thing. My only problem is that it is not shielded at the moment. but it doesn't seem top be suffering much and I have noticed the car likes to rev a bit higher now...or more easily I should say.Its a worthwhile mod in my opinion, but I must make a shield soon.

thanks man but how does that bolt up...it still keeps the mass air sensor and all that stuff right?

yes it still keeps the mass airflow sensor it came with an adaptor plate which must be bolted to it and then a short pipe and filter. I had to buy a short pipe and a rubber fitting I got mine from Home Depot...it's a huge pipe...4 inches!
